Monica Rizzio

Friday Wine Down: Monica Rizzio

| -
With a perspective equally influenced by her Texas roots and her Cape Cod home, Americana singer-songwriter Monica Rizzio has emerged as one of the finest talents in the East Coast music scene. Monica released her debut album, aptly named Washashore Cowgirl, in 2016; where it was Monica’s solo introduction after a decade in the trio Tripping Lily. It’s clear she has a keen ability to connect; her songs are often autobiographical but delivered through a fictional approach that aids in creating a universal experience for the listener -- whether it’s expressed using her trademark sense of humor...

Friday Wine Down: Holley McCreary

| -
When Holley McCreary opens her mouth, throws back her head, and starts wailing out the blues influence that drips from within her soul, people stop, turn their heads, and say "WHOA!" Holley is an incredible singer/songwriter whose roots stem from the deep south. Growing up in Florida and Alabama, she was heavily influenced by both gospel music and the Muscle Shoals sound. In her latest venture, Holley is harkening back to her southern roots while embracing a fresh new sound. Pulling inspiration from artists like Bobbie Gentry, Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt and The Allman Brothers, Holley’s most...
Brandon Mullis

Friday Wine Down: Brandon Mullis

| -
We discovered Brandon several years ago by "accident"...meaning we just happened to run across a video of him playing at a small venue down in his native state of South Carolina. That video led to another and another and then we discovered, much to our delight, that he was/is a transplant to Connecticut! So, we found his contact info and the rest is history. We invited him to come just on the basis of those videos and we've had him back every year since. He brings with him a vast catalog of songs across numerous genres as well as his own, original offerings that he sprinkles into his shows...
Benny Mikula

Friday Wine Down: Benny Mikula

| -
Benny Mikula is one of our all-time most popular music artists to grace our stage here at Jones, and was among those who performed here the very first summer we began doing live music at the winery (he was actually THE very first!) Benny has made his own space around New England through his soul-touching lyricism and compelling live performances. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in music but provides audiences with a lesson you cannot learn in school. Whether he is solo acoustic or accompanied by a full band (most famous for The Alpaca Gnomes), the electricity and energy are beyond doubt. His...
Dylan Connor

Friday Wine Down: Dylan Connor

| -
Student of Rock. Teacher of the Classics. Father. Husband. Latin Teacher. Humanitarian. Multi-faceted singer/songwriter Dylan Connor embodies the very soul of musical arts. Raised in a family of artists, Dylan was inspired by his uncle, Jim Downey, and filmmaker Robert Downey Sr. When he’s not on stage, Dylan channels his passion for music and English literature into teaching middle school Latin where he combines his love of Shakespearean theater and Greek mythology to enrich his students’ learning experience. He currently lives in Stratford, Connecticut with his wife, Reem, and two children...
