Raised in a family of artists, Dylan was inspired by his uncle, Jim Downey, and filmmaker Robert Downey Sr. When he’s not on stage, Dylan channels his passion for music and English literature into teaching middle school Latin where he combines his love of Shakespearean theater and Greek mythology to enrich his students’ learning experience. Sunday Serenade: Shawn Taylor

Shawn Taylor serves up original “Wandering Roots” (genre weaving Americana) on acoustic guitar, harmonica, vocals, ukulele and foot drums. He’s on his fifth album of original ‘wandering roots’ music, has toured since 2008 and been acclaimed for his songs and short stories. He's opened for legends like Maria Muldaur and contemporaries like Sarah Potenza and even played for and loaned his guitar to Jose Feliciano. He’s thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, The Long Trail and The John Muir Trail and performs with a thru-hikers wanderlust and wanton abandon.
